<Shawshank Redemption > is a book origin by Steven king . After went through the movie , there’s too many reasons and ideas here inspire me write three main points as a essay . Hope –the most thing left me a deep impression. But also friendship and freedom.
There’s plenty of objects are the evidences explaining the Friendship, such as beer ,stone ,cigarette.…. At the first of the movie, Red lost two packs of Cigarettes in the bet , he starts keeping an eye on Andy ,that’s how their friendship begin . After Andy won the beer for everybody , Red turns respectful to Andy and thinks he is special. That helps Andy ask Red get him some stones after .To get stones is not a easy thing in the jail. Through the stones, we can see friendship goes harder between two of them .
Freedom being sensitive to the prisoners .To be free is not one of their dream any more, they have been caught ,they have been sent to the jail, even some of them did not against the law. They have been living in the jail , being a prisoner, they are being institutionalized. Brooks got freedom, but he chose death .He is being institutionalized . Freedom is not just a free body , a free life for them .It’s about a free heart and free mind. Only if they think they are free , so they are free. At the end ,Andy escape from the jail, he stands in the rain , feels the rain ,he reborn . He happy , happy to be free .That’s the real freedom ,totally free.
Hope , the key of the movie , if there’s no hope ,Andy can’t able to make friends with Red ,can’t able to free himself. He offers to help Norton to organize his file and won the beer makes him live in the hope .After this ,he asks Red to get him some stones, he is really ready to chase his dream .He spent 20 years to make a escaping job. If you say he does not hope in the mind , he will never success. Just like they said : “Fear can hold you prisoner ,and hope can set u free.”
Freedom , hope, friendship are not only for the characters in the movie, they also appear in the real life. We need them to live, to understand life. We are lucky because we have the right decide our life. We can hopeful to do everything .And we can own our friendship as much as we can .Life just always there for us , you have to know how to live.
